Canadian Cornbread

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 cup cornmeal (yellow or )
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup cream-style corn
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sour cream (can used non-fat)

Recipe

  • 1 stir together corn meal, baking powder, soda and salt.
  • 2 add eggs and mix together.
  • 3 stir in corn, oil and sour cream.
  • 4 pour into a greased 8" x 8" pan.
  • 5 bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
  • 6 serve immediately with butter, and enjoy!
