Chicken Marsala

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 thawed boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can whole tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1/3 cup marsala wine
  • 8 ounces cooked linguine

Recipe

  • 1 in plastic bag, combine flour, salt and pepper.
  • 2 add chicken; shake to coat.
  • 3 heat oil over medium heat and add chicken.
  • 4 cook until no longer pink in center.
  • 5 remove and set chicken aside.
  • 6 in the same skillet add garlic and muchrooms; cook 2-3 minutes.
  • 7 stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, wine and basil.
  • 8 reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • 9 return chicken to skillet and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  • 10 serve over hot linguine.
