Chicken Marsala

Ingredients

- 4 thawed boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can whole tomatoes, cut up
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1/3 cup marsala wine
- 8 ounces cooked linguine
Recipe
- 1 in plastic bag, combine flour, salt and pepper.
- 2 add chicken; shake to coat.
- 3 heat oil over medium heat and add chicken.
- 4 cook until no longer pink in center.
- 5 remove and set chicken aside.
- 6 in the same skillet add garlic and muchrooms; cook 2-3 minutes.
- 7 stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, wine and basil.
- 8 reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 9 return chicken to skillet and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- 10 serve over hot linguine.
