Cinnamon Sour Cream Biscuits

Total Time: 27 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Recipe

  • 1 combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, soda, and salt.
  • 2 cut in the butter until coarse crumbs.
  • 3 stir in the sour cream and milk just until combined. do not overmix or your biscuits will be tough!
  • 4 knead about 10 times on a floured surface, then press out to 1/2 inch thickness.
  • 5 cut with a biscuit cutter dipped in flour.
  • 6 bake on ungreased baking sheet at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  • 7 cool on wire racks.
  • 8 best served warm with apple butter. you can also use a powdered sugar glaze and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
