Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • additional butter (for cooking)
  • additional sugar (such as apple or apricot, for serving) or clear jelly (such as apple or apricot, for serving)
  • nutella

Recipe

  • 1 preparationin a blender, combine milk and eggs. mix on medium-high speed until foamy, about 10 seconds. turn blender to low speed and remove feed top. with blender going, add sugar and salt. replace feed top and blend on high speed for a few seconds, then turn blender back to low. in the same manner, add butter, , and vanilla, replacing feed top and blending for several seconds after each addition. turn blender off. add flour all at once and blend until just combined.
  • 2 place crêpe pan over moderately high heat. with flexible spatula, spread a tiny amount of butter in pan (an alternative method is to brush the pan with melted butter using a pastry brush) and heat until butter just begins to smoke. pour 1/4 to 1/3 cup batter into the pan. as you pour, quickly tilt the pan in all directions to spread a thin layer of batter across the bottom. pour in just enough batter to cover the pan.
  • 3 cook crêpe over moderately high heat until just begin to form on the exposed surface, about one to two minutes. lift up the edge to check the cooking process — if the crêpe starts to burn before it is cooked through, turn down the heat. if it is not nicely browned after two minutes, turn up the heat.
  • 4 when underside of crêpe is browned, flip and cook another minute or less, until other side is browned. remove from pan and keep warm in the oven, loosely covered with foil.
  • 5 grease pan with a very small amount of butter and repeat process. continue until all batter is used, stacking cooked crêpes on a plate in the oven. to serve, sprinkle each crêpe with sugar or spread with jelly and fold or roll up.
  • 6 note:.
  • 7 making the batter for these crêpes is relatively easy, but cooking them can be laborious. once you have a gotten a feel for the procedure (you will probably have to tinker with the heat and cooking time, since every pan behaves slightly differently), you can save time by using two pans at once. stagger the process so you are pouring the batter into one pan while a crêpe is cooking in the other. this way, you will be able to closely attend to both but will finish in half the time.

  • 2 cups oats, quick, uncooked

  • 4 heap the dough by teaspoonfuls a greased cookie sheet. bake for 15-20 minutes and let cool.
  • 5 variations: if you add some chopped nuts, you have a grab and go breakfast that includes protein as well as fruits and grains. dried cranberries are also a great addition if you don't care for raisins, which some people don't. cardamom fans may want to substitute that spice for the cinnamon.
  • 6 you can make a huge batch of these and then freeze some, leaving a few to be snagged each morning while you and your other family members are on the way out the door.
  • 7 it's important to note that this is not a dessert type of cookie, so it will not be what you are used to eating when you think cookie. these are also very moist, due to both mashed bananas and apple sauce being included. it's basically oatmeal with add-ins for breakfast that you can eat from your hand.
  • 8 this made a huge difference in how well we were able to stay on track nutrition wise. they are a really power-packed cookie (particularly with chopped nuts) that can help you make it through to lunch without binging.
  • 9 another bonus? you don't have any oatmeal bowls to wash out in the morning! the dishes for these little babies are done once, when you first bake them. love that!

Breakfast Crepes With Savory Eggs, Smoked Salmon And Caviar

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 crepes, crepe batter is a basic recipe (use your favorite recipe, or buy them pre-made)
  • 3 -4 ounces smoked salmon, thin sliced (approximately 1 oz per crepe, i get mine right from the local grocery store)
  • 2 teaspoons caviar (1/2 teaspoon per crepe)
  • 8 ex large eggs (2 eggs per crepe)
  • 4 tablespoons herb cheese spread (boursin is one brand i suggest)
  • 2 shallots, thin sliced
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill
  • sour cream

Recipe

  • 1 crepes -- i won't go through the whole recipe here, but you can use your favorite recipe or buy them pre-made. if they are frozen just, thaw in the fridge and then i reheat by simply wrapping them in a damp paper towel in the microwave for just a few seconds. or you can wrap in foil and reheat in the oven on 325 for just 5 minutes or so. you just want them warm and plyable, not steaming hot.
  • 2 sauce -- in a small pot, add the butter, flour and milk and whisk well until combined. bring to medium heat and continue stirring until well combined. don't boil as you do not want to scald/burn the milk. bring to a light boil stirring often. the sauce will thicken. reduce to low and add the lemon, dill, salt and pepper. just keep on low while you cook the eggs.
  • 3 eggs -- in a medium non-stick sauce pan, add the butter and bring to medium heat. add in the shallots and cook 1-2 minutes just to soften them up a bit. then, in a medium size bowl, whisk the eggs very well and add in a pinch of salt and pepper. add the eggs to the sauce pan with the onions, stir, and let them cook on medium low heat 3-4 minutes until slightly set and then stir. add in the boursin or herb cheese and stir to combine. it will take another 3-4 minutes for the cheese to melt and the eggs to finish cooking. stir often. don't overcook the eggs - you want a soft scramble, as they will continue to cook once removed from the heat.
  • 4 salmon -- buying it in a package it should already be thin sliced and ready to use.
  • 5 crepes -- add 1/4 of the eggs to each warm crepe, top with smoked salmon and roll. place 1-2 crepes per plate and top with the warm lemon dill sauce, a sprig of dill, a dollop or spoon of sour cream, and a little caviar. enjoy!

Breakfast Burritos - Oamc

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 6 large baking potatoes, washed and cut into bite sized cubes
  • 2 lbs bacon, cut into bite sized pieces (sausage links work good too)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 dozen egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • salt and pepper
  • 12 -14 flour tortillas

Recipe

  • 1 cook bacon until almost done (dutch ovens work best for oamc, use a good nonstick pot), don't over cook the bacon will burn while you cook potatoes.
  • 2 add onions and cook for a minute or two, until softened.
  • 3 add potatoes, stir to coat in bacon drippings and cover.
  • 4 cook covered for approximately 15 minutes, or until potatoes are done, stirring occasionally. put the tortillas on top of the potatoes while they cook, this steams them and makes them moist.
  • 5 while you are waiting for potatoes to finish cooking, wisk the eggs and milk. mix well.
  • 6 salt and pepper your potatoes, cook uncovered a minute longer.
  • 7 add eggs to potato mixture, cook stirring almost constantly until egg is finished. be very careful to not overcook the egg. egg must still be very moist but not overcooked. it alters the flavor otherwise.
  • 8 remove from heat.
  • 9 place 1/2 cup measurements into containers.
  • 10 wrap tortilla's in wax paper, seal well (use masking tape if you want to) and place on top of potato egg mixture then cover and freeze. alternatively you can fill and wrap them, the problem is the yucky ends are harder to control. make sure when you steam your tortillas you don't let them get dry afterwards. you want them drenched in steam, fill them and tightly tightly wrap them in 2 big pieces of plastic wrap.
  • 11 either serving (container or rolled up) should be reheated on high for 5 minutes.
