Chicken Apple Breakfast Sausage

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup apple, grated (fuji or mcintosh)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground chicken
  • 1/2 lb ground lamb
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Recipe

  • 1 in a large, heavy skillet heat 2 tbs of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • 2 add the onions and apples.
  • 3 cook, stirring for 3-4 min or until onions have softened.
  • 4 add the garlic and cook for 30 sec to 1 minute.
  • 5 remove from the heat and cool.
  • 6 in a large bowl combine the chicken, lamb, thyme, sage, salt and pepper.
  • 7 add the cooled onion mixture and mix well.
  • 8 at this point take a small piece of the mixture and cook in a skillet with a little vegetable oil, taste to test the salt and seasoning - add more is necessary.
  • 9 on a plastic-covered surface, form the mixture into 8 good sized patties or 16 smaller patties.
  • 10 heat 2 tbs of vegetabel oil in a 12-inch skillet over high heat.
  • 11 add 4 patties (or more if smaller) to the pan and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 min per side.
  • 12 place cooked patties in a warm oven while you cook the rest of the patties.
  • 13 add more oil if necessary and continue cooking patties in the same manner.

Chicken With Leeks And Mushrooms

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced leek
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth

  • pepper

Recipe

  • 1 heat olive oil in non stick skillet.
  • 2 sprinkle on season salt, garlic salt and pepper to taste.
  • 3 brown chicken in hot olive oil.

  • 1 steep petals in boiling water for ten minutes.
  • 2 pound into a paste.

Curried Cream Of Pea Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, sliced
  • 1 medium potato, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 2 cups chicken stock, heated
  • 1 cup light cream, heated

Recipe

  • 1 place the prepared vegetables, garlic, salt, curry powder and one cup of the the stock in a saucepan.
  • 2 bring to a boil.
  • 3 cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • 4 transfer to a processor.
  • 5 blend well.
  • 6 return the mixture to a saucepan.
  • 7 reheat.
  • 8 add the remaining stock and cream.
  • 9 reheat.
  • 10 can be served cold with a dollop of whipped cream, chives and parsley.

Curried Corn Salad

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup red onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup red pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 4 cups corn (fresh, frozen, or canned)
  • 1/2 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1/2 cup miracle whip
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Recipe

  • 1 saute onion in oil until tender.
  • 2 add peppers and saute briefly, just until warmed through. add curry powder, oregano, and turmeric.
  • 3 while the peppers are sauteing, heat the corn until hot (microwave or sauce pan on stove top), and drain any liquid.
  • 4 in a large bowl, mix the pepper mixture, drained corn, black olives, miracle whip, and salt.
  • 5 serve warm.

Chicken With Lime Sauce

  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Recipe

  • 1 pound the chicken so that all pieces are of about the same thickness, then season with salt, to taste. melt the butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. add the chicken and brown for about 3 minutes on each side. remove from the frying pan and keep warm.
  • 2 mix all other ingredients and pour the mixture into the frying pan. bring to a boil, stirring constantly to prevent clumping, and boil for about a minute.
  • 3 return the chicken to the pan and simmer until the chicken is cooked through (about five minuites or so). serve hot, with the sauce poured over the the chicken.

  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper

  • 1 melt butter in a sauce pan over medium heat.
  • 2 whisk in flour and stir constantly for four minutes.
  • 3 gradually whisk in half and half and keep stirring until it comes to a simmer.
  • 4 remove from heat and stir in cheese until it is melted.
  • 5 season with worcestershire, ground mustard seed, and cayenne.

Curried Chickpeas Over Rice

  • 1 (13 ounce) can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (10 ounce) can coconut cream, half
  • 1 small tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 large onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder

  • 1 cook rice per directions.
  • 2 heat oil in a saucepan.
  • 3 saute onions over medium-high heat.
  • 4 add tomatoes once onions are soft. smash the tomatoes in the pot.

  • 6 add coconut cream/milk and stir. (add a little more if you desire more sauce)

  • 8 reduce heat to medium-low.
  • 9 add chickpeas, cover and simmer 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 10 serve hot over rice.

Chicken With Lime Sauce

  • 4 (6 ounce) boneless skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth, reduced-sodium fat-free
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice, divided
  • 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Recipe

  • 1 place each chicken breast half between 2 sheets of heavy-duty plastic wrap; pound to 1/4-inch thickness using a meat mallet or small heavy skillet. sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper.

25-minute Lamb Diane

  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce for chicken
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dijon-style mustard
  • 12 ounces boneless lamb loin steaks, cut 3/4 to 1 inch thick
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, snipped

Recipe

  • 1 for sauce, in a small bowl stir together the water, worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and mustard; set aside.
  • 2 trim fat from chops. sprinkle both sides of each chop with lemon-pepper seasoning. in a 10-inch skillet melt butter over medium heat. add chops and cook for 8 to 12 minutes or until lamb juices run clear (160°f), turning once halfway through cooking time. remove from heat. transfer chops to a serving platter; cover and keep warm.

Corn Dip With Tomatoes And Basil

  • 1/3 cup 2% low-fat milk (or 1% with dash of half & half)
  • 1/3 cup silken tofu
  • 3 teaspoons lime juice

  • 8 cherry tomatoes, quartered
  • 1/3 cup fresh basil leaf, thinly sliced

Recipe

  • 1 cook corn and milk in skillet over med-high heat until corn is tender. stir occasionally. takes about 7 minutes from start to finish. let cook completely.
  • 2 puree 2/3 cup corn mixture, tofu, lime juice and salt in food processor; season with pepper.
  • 3 transfer to serving bowl; strain and add remaining corn.
  • 4 stir in tomatoes and basil.
  • 5 serve with tortilla chips.
  • 6 dip can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 1 day.

Cheese Quesadillas With Sweet Vidalia Onion

  • 1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 vidalia onion, sliced
  • 6 small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/3 cup finely diced red pepper
  • 24 cilantro leaves

Recipe

  • 1 in large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and saute vidalia onion until softened.
  • 2 lay tortillas on work surface and sprinkle half of cheese on half of each tortilla.
  • 3 divide vidalia onions evenly among tortillas, placing over the cheese.
  • 4 top with red pepper and cilantro.
  • 5 sprinkle remaining cheese over cilantro leaves.
  • 6 fold plain half of tortilla over filling and press down gently.
  • 7 heat large, lightly greased nonstick or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  • 8 place folded quesadillas in hot pan; cook until golden brown, turn and cook other side.
  • 9 remove from pan and cut each into 3 triangles.
  • 10 serve warm.

Curried Coconut Chicken Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 skinless chicken breast, cut into chunks
  • 1 tablespoon curry paste (i had green curry paste on hand when i made this, but you could use any)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated (fresh is best, can also use dried)
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 (13 1/2 ounce) can light coconut milk
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts (optional)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (i only use green part in this)
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms

Recipe

  • 1 spray pan with cooking spray and add chicken.
  • 2 once chicken begins to cook & turn , add curry paste and stir to thinly coat chicken.
  • 3 cook chicken 4-5 minutes or until almost cooked through.
  • 4 as chicken cooks, in separate sauce pan, begin to heat chicken broth. bring to simmer.
  • 5 add lime juice, ginger, fish sauce.
  • 6 stir and simmer 2 minutes.
  • 7 add water chestnuts, mushrooms and coconut milk.
  • 8 simmer another 2 minutes. taste, and adjust seasonings if needed. may need more lime juice, depending on your taste. some people also add 1/2-1 tbs sugar or splenda. it's up to you.
  • 9 add cooked chicken and green onions, stir and simmer for 1 minute.
  • 10 serve!

Corn Dogs And Dippers

  • 3/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 20 hot dogs or 20 hot dogs
  • 20 wooden skewers
  • oil, to fry
  • spicy mustard
  • thousand island dressing
  • ketchup, with vinegar

Recipe

  • 1 batter: combine batter's dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • 2 cut in shortening.
  • 3 add egg and milk.
  • 4 whisk until there are no lumps.
  • 5 pour battter into a tall glass.
  • 6 oil: heat at least 2 inches of oil to 375 degrees f.
  • 7 corndogs: pat dry hotdogs until completely dry.
  • 8 push skewer into one end of hotdog until it is firmly in place.
  • 9 dip hotdog into batter, turning so it coats evenly.
  • 10 fry until golden brown about 2 minutes.
  • 11 drain on paper towels.

Curried Couscous Salad

  • 1 1/2 cups couscous
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated carrot
  • 1/2 cup minced parsley
  • 1/2 cup dried raisins or 1/2 cup cranberries
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 2 scallions, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup small diced red onion

Recipe

  • 1 pour couscous in a large bowl. melt butter in the boiling water and pour over couscous.
  • 2 cover tightly and allow the couscous to soak for 5 minutes. fluff with a fork.
  • 3 whisk together the yogurt, olive oil, vinegar; curry powder, turmeric, salt and pepper. pour over the fluffed couscous and mix well with a fork.
  • 4 add the carrots, parsley, raisins or cranberries, almonds, scallions, and red onions.
  • 5 mix well and taste for seasonings.
  • 6 serve at room temperature.

Curried Egg & Potato Salad

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 6 hard-cooked eggs, cooled
  • 4 medium potatoes, chopped into small cubes
  • 2 medium apples, chopped
  • 2/3 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/3 cup green onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup nonfat sour cream or 1/3 cup nonfat yogurt
  • 1/4 cup low-fat mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons mild curry powder (to taste)
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 peel and chop four eggs, cut remaining two eggs into wedges for garnish. cook potatoes 5-7 minutes or until tender; drain well.
  • 2 combine in large bowl, eggs, potatoes, apple, celery and onions.
  • 3 dressings:.
  • 4 whisk together dressing ingredients in small bowl.
  • 5 pour dressing ingredients over potato mixtue and fold to coat well. cover and chill until serving.

Chicken With Lime And Capers

Ingredients

  • 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into small cubes
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (lemon may be substituted)
  • 1 tablespoon capers, reserve 1 tbs juice
  • hot cooked rice

Recipe

  • 1 heat butter and oil in a skillet. add chicken. sprinkle salt over chicken as it cooks.
  • 2 when the chicken is almost completely cooked, add the garlic. while the chicken is cooking, dissolve the bouillon cube in water.
  • 3 add the lime juice, capers and caper juice to the chicken. stir in the chicken bouillon.
  • 4 cover and simmer while you cook the rice. serve hot over the rice.

Chicken Artichoke Heart 3 Cheese Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 1 boneless skinless chicken breast, browned and diced
  • 4 teaspoons pesto sauce
  • 3 teaspoons minced or crushed garlic
  • 2/3 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 package crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 jar marinated artichoke hearts, diced (i use only the solid part of the hearts, not the leaves)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/8 cup sun-dried tomato

  • 1 cook chicken breast on stovetop (i dice mine while still frozen) until just starting to brown while chicken is cooking, spread pesto sauce, garlic and about half of the cheeses onto the pizza crust spread the vegetables on the cheeses.
  • 2 spread the diced chicken on the pizza.
  • 3 add the remaining cheeses.
  • 4 cook according to directions on crust package (usually only takes 8-12 minutes on 400).

Cheese Rarebit

  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • saltine crackers or toast points

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients in a blender and whirl at high speed until smooth. bring water to a boil in a double boiler, reduce heat to simmer, pour in ingredients from blender in double boiler. heat stirring occasionally with wire wisk until melted and hot. serve over saltine crackers or toast points.

Brandy-wine Punch

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup superfine sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups brandy
  • 1 1/2 cups amontillado sherry wine
  • 1/4 cup ruby port
  • 1/4 cup cointreau liqueur or 1/4 cup grand marnier
  • 2 (750 ml) bottles chilled sparkling wine
  • 1 liter well-chilled club soda
  • ice cube
  • orange slice, for garnish
  • lemon slice, for garnish

Recipe

  • 1 in a large punch bowl, stir the lemon juice with the sugar until the sugar dissolves. add the brandy, sherry, port, cointreau, sparkling wine and club soda and stir gently until blended. add the ice and garnish with the fruit.

Corn Dogs

  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup pickled hot peppers, diced
  • 1/4 cup pickled sweet peppers, diced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (8 1/2 ounce) package corn muffin mix
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 (1 lb) package hot dog

Recipe

  • 1 in a small bowl combine ketchup and pickled peppers. mix well and set aside.
  • 2 in a large mixing bowl, combine egg, corn muffin mix, garlic powder, onion powder and milk. in a separate shallow dish add flour. insert wooden skewers half way into cocktail franks.
  • 3 heat oil to 375 degrees f in a deep-fryer. dredge each cocktail frank in flour, dust off excess then dip into cornmeal batter. fry 2 to 3 corn dogs at a time for about 1 to 2 minutes or until golden brown. drain on paper towels. serve warm with the relish.

  • 2 (8 1/2 ounce) packages corn muffin mix
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5 hot dogs, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce

  • 1 preheat overn to 400 degrees and grease a muffin tin or line with paper muffin cups.combine corn muffin mix, brown sugar, eggs, hot sauce and milk and stir until combined then stir in hot dogs. fill greased or lined cups 3/4 full. bake for 14-18 minutes or until golden brown. serve immediately or refrigerate.

  • 1 1/2 lbs chicken breasts, 4 at 6 ounces each
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup shallot, finely chopped
  • 2/3 cup dry wine
  • 1/2 cup reduced-sodium fat-free chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon green peppercorn, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Recipe

  • 1 combine flour and paprika in shallow dish. sprinkle chicken with salt, dredge in flour mixture.

  • 16 ounces frozen corn
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup green onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup carrot, chopped

  • 1 add frozen corn, onion, pepper, carrots and curry powder to melted butter in frying pan, then cover and cook on low for 10 minutes. stir in sour cream and serve.

Crazy Cajun Fried Rice

  • 2 quarts cold cooked rice
  • 1 cup salad oil
  • 1 lb cabbage, chunked
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrot
  • 1 cup diced onion

  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped scallion (tops)
  • 1/2 cup chopped scallion ( part)

Brandy Jellied Cornish Game Hens

  • 1 rinse steak and pat dry. cut into 4 equal pieces.

  • 3 remove from heat and add tequila and vinegar to pan. light with a match (not under an exhaust fan or any flammable materials) and shake pan until flames subside.

  • 8 pour the milk/egg mixture into the flour mixture well. mix quick and light to make a dough. if dough seems too dry, add a few drops of milk as needed.

  • 11 brush tops with the 2 tablespoons of milk.

Chicken Berbere

  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken stock (or cubes)
  • 1/2 lemon, zest of, grated

  • fresh cilantro stem (coriander)

Recipe

  • 1 brown the chicken thoroughly on high heat in a skillet in some of the fat. set aside. don't put too much meat into the skillet at once, or they won't brown.
  • 2 fry the onion and garlic in additional fat in a pot on medium heat until it is transparent.
  • 3 add berbere pepper and tomato paste and more fat if necessary in order not to burn the berbere.
  • 4 stir for a moment, then add chicken, tomatoes, stock and lemon peel.
  • 5 let simmer, covered, until the chicken is tender but not over-cooked (15-20 min).
  • 6 add salt and pepper to taste.
  • 7 garnish with cilantro stems and serve immediately with rice or on flat bread.

Buttermilk Baked Eggs

  • 3 when dough has risen long enough, the machine will beep.
  • 4 remove dough from pan.
  • 5 divide dough into 3 equal balls.
  • 6 roll out each ball, one at a time, into a 9 inch circle (don't worry if you can't get it exactly 9 inch).
  • 7 (note: i always start rolling my dough and let it rest for awhile and resume rolling. the resting helps relax the dough).
  • 8 with pizza cutter (works great!)or sharp knife, divide each circle into 8 wedges, as if cutting a pizza.

  • 10 cover and place in a warm oven (turn oven onto warm setting for 2 minutes and turn off, to make a good environment for dough).

  • 14 bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.

  • 16 brush rolls lightly with melted butter.

Chocolate Chip Dip

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 cream together cream cheese and butter. add vanilla and sugars. blend until smooth. stir in chocolate chips. refrigerate 2 hours and then form into a ball and roll in chopped nuts.

Blackberry Chicken

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 cup blackberry
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth, low sodium
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Recipe

  • 1 place chicken in a zip lock bag. gently flatten to 1/4-inch thickness. season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • 2 heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. cook chicken until no longer pink in the middle, about 6 minute per side. remove from heat, cover and keep warm.
  • 3 add remaining ingredients to skillet. cook over medium heat until warmed through, about 4 minute.

Caramelized Adobo Onions

  • 1 heat up your oven as hot as it gets.
  • 2 prepare pizza crusts - you can use ready made or use your favourite dough recipe.
  • 3 spread tomato sauce evenly to the both pizzas. add the grated cheese - yes, the cheese goes under the toppings.
  • 4 spread the mushrooms, artichokes and olives on the pizza.
  • 5 bake in the oven for about 10 minutes or longer, depending on how hot your oven is. pizza is done when the crust is golden.

  • 1/2 cup dried apricot
  • 1/4 cup sliced green olives

  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 14 ounces chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar

  • 1 preheat large saute pan on medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes. chop apricots and olives coarsely.
  • 2 place oil in pan; swirl to coat. add chicken and cook 2-3 minutes (do not turn). after 2-3 minutes, turn chicken; add garlic, apricots, and olives. cook 2-3 minutes more, stirring occasionally, or until garlic begins to soften.
  • 3 stir in remaining ingredients; reduce heat to medium-low. cover and cook 5-7 minutes, turning chicken once, or until internal temperature of chicken reaches 165 degrees f.
  • 4 remove chicken from pan; increase heat to medium. cook sauce 2-3 minutes or until slightly thickened. remove and discard bay leaf. slice chicken and serve with sauce.

Curran's Favorite Pesto Dish

  • 1 (1/2 ounce) package pesto sauce mix (like knorr)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 (16 ounce) box pasta, of choice (we like tricolor rotini)
  • 1 -2 medium zucchini, chopped
  • 4 -8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced (baby portabella)
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 -4 garlic cloves, diced
  • 2 -3 plum tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 -3 slices prosciutto ham, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 prepare pasta according to package directions.
  • 2 prepare pesto sauce according to package directions.
  • 3 using evoo or cooking spray, saute the garlic and onions 1-2 minutes over medium heat.
  • 4 add prosciutto and continue sautéing 1-2 minutes.
  • 5 stir in zucchini and mushrooms, add tomatoes last. stir occasionally and cook until veggies are tender.
  • 6 add prosciutto and veggies to pasta. pour pesto sauce over and stir everything together.

Cheese Scones

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Recipe

  • 1 mix together the flour, baking powder, mustard powder and salt.
  • 2 rub butter into the flour until the consistency of bread crumbs.
  • 3 make a well in the middle, add the 1/2 cup milk and cheese. knead gently, roll out to a 1" thick round.
  • 4 cut into 8 triangles, place on an ungreased baking sheet in a circular (pie shaped) pattern.
  • 5 brush with remaining milk and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.

Buttermilk Biscuits

  • 1 preheat oven to 425°f.
  • 2 in a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
  • 3 using a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut the shortening into the flour mixture until coarse crumbs form.
  • 4 add the buttermilk, tossing with a fork until a dough forms.
  • 5 turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface.
  • 6 gather into a disk.
  • 7 knead lightly a few times just until smooth.
  • 8 (the dough can be made up to 2 hours ahead, wrapped in plastic wrap, and refrigerated until ready to use).
  • 9 pat the dough to 3/4 inch thick.
  • 10 using a biscuit cutter or a glass dipped in flour, cut out biscuits.
  • 11 place the biscuits, on an ungreased baking sheet, 2 inches apart.
  • 12 gather dough trimmings, pat to 3/4 inch thick and cut out more biscuits.

Curried Beef And Bean Burritos

  • 1 mix all together, including bacon, and set in the fridge for atleast 30 minutes to let the flavours combine.
  • 2 cut and clean salad, and mix all. serve with croutons. you can then shred more parmesan cheese on top if you like.
  • 3 to make croutons cut up a baguette of your choice into cubes, drizzle with olive oil, oregano, basil. salt and pepper and put in oven at 375 for about 6-8 minutes depending on your oven. bon apettit!

  • 1 heat half of oil in frying pan over medium heat.
  • 2 add onions and cook 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • 6 heat remaining oil in the same pan.
  • 7 add chicken and season with salt and pepper.
  • 8 cook 5 minutes on each side over medium heat.

  • 11 transfer chicken breasts and all juices to ovenproof baking dish.
  • 12 top with onions and all juices.

  • 4 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves, pounded to 1/4-inch thickness
  • all-purpose flour
  • 6 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1/2 cup asiago cheese, finely grated
  • 8 slices prosciutto, folded crosswise
  • 2/3 cup dry wine
  • 2 teaspoons fresh sage, minced
  • 4 whole sage leaves, for garnish

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • 2 sprinkle chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • 3 coat both sides with flour, shaking off excess.
  • 4 melt 4 tablespoons butter in large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • 5 add chicken breast and saute until brown, turning once, about 5 minutes.
  • 6 transfer chicken to rimmed baking sheet, reserve skillet.
  • 7 sprinkle 2 tablespoons cheese over each breast.
  • 8 top each with 2 prosciutto slices.
  • 9 bake until chicken is cooked through, about 5 minutes.
  • 10 meanwhile, add wine, minced sage, and 2 tablespoons butter to skillet.
  • 11 boil until sauce is reduced to 1/3 cup, scraping up browned bits, about 4 minutes.
