Cheese Scones With Gomashio

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups whole grain flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 30 g butter
  • 2 -4 tablespoons gomashio (use more if you really want to taste the sesame in the scones)
  • 1/4-1/2 cup milk
  • grated cheese, for sprinkling

Recipe

  • 1 preheat the oven to 220°c/425°f.
  • 2 in a bowl combine flour, gomashio and baking powder. rub in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • 3 add liquid little by little until a soft, but not sticky dough forms.
  • 4 pat out on a lightly floured surface and cut out scones of desired size ( i use a regular glass for cutting).
  • 5 place on a papaer-lined baking sheet, top with grated cheese and bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown and baked through.
  • 6 enjoy! :).
