Cheese Scones With Gomashio

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups whole grain flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 30 g butter
- 2 -4 tablespoons gomashio (use more if you really want to taste the sesame in the scones)
- 1/4-1/2 cup milk
- grated cheese, for sprinkling
Recipe
- 1 preheat the oven to 220°c/425°f.
- 2 in a bowl combine flour, gomashio and baking powder. rub in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 3 add liquid little by little until a soft, but not sticky dough forms.
- 4 pat out on a lightly floured surface and cut out scones of desired size ( i use a regular glass for cutting).
- 5 place on a papaer-lined baking sheet, top with grated cheese and bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown and baked through.
