Cherry Sauce

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried cherries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 3 tablespoons brandy

Recipe

  • 1 in a saucepan combine the cherries, the sugar and 1 1/2 cups water and simmer for 10 minutes or until the liquid is reduced to 1 cup.
  • 2 mix cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water and add it to the cherry mixture, and simmer the mixture, stirring, for 2 minutes.
  • 3 add the brandy and stir it in.
  • 4 chill.
