Cheesy Sausages

Ingredients

• 2 sausages
• 2 slices bacon
• 1 ounce cheddar cheese
• 1 tablespoon pickle
• 1 slice bread
• little butter

Recipe

• 1 prick the sausages with a fork. grill them under a moderate heat for about 15 minutes. make a slit in each sausage, lengthways, and wedge a slice of cheese in each slit. cut the rind from the bacon, and spread with the chutney.
• 2 wrap the bacon round the sausages and pin securely with cocktail sticks or toothpicks (not plastic ones!). return to the hot grill, and cook for 5 minutes, until the bacon is crisp and the cheese is melting. toast the bread, spread with the butter and serve with the sausages.
