Chocolate Strawberry Truffle Pie

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 9 inches pie shells
  • 1 (250 g) package cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup icing sugar
  • 2 cups strawberries, stems removed
  • 2 tbps. seedless raspberry jelly or 2 red currant jelly
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream

Recipe

  • 1 prepare and bake pie shell according to package directions. cool. cut cream chees into cubes; set aside.
  • 2 in saucepan, combine chips and butter. cook and stir over low heat until melted. add cream cheese; heat stirring constantly until blended and smooth. spread in pie shell.
  • 3 arrange berries, stem ends down in chocolate filling. refrigerate until firm, about 3 hours.
  • 4 at serving time, melt jam; brush over berries. beat cream until stiff; spoon aroundedge of pie.
  • 5 makes 6 servings.
