Chocolate Strawberry Truffle Pie

- 9 inches pie shells
- 1 (250 g) package cream cheese
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup icing sugar
- 2 cups strawberries, stems removed
- 2 tbps. seedless raspberry jelly or 2 red currant jelly
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
Recipe
- 1 prepare and bake pie shell according to package directions. cool. cut cream chees into cubes; set aside.
- 2 in saucepan, combine chips and butter. cook and stir over low heat until melted. add cream cheese; heat stirring constantly until blended and smooth. spread in pie shell.
- 3 arrange berries, stem ends down in chocolate filling. refrigerate until firm, about 3 hours.
- 4 at serving time, melt jam; brush over berries. beat cream until stiff; spoon aroundedge of pie.
- 5 makes 6 servings.
