Chinese Sweet And Sour Pungent Barbque Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 cup onion, minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup catsup
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry or 2 tablespoons water or 2 tablespoons wine
Recipe
- 1 saute onion in oil until translucent.
- 2 add garlic stir until you can smell the garlic.
- 3 add all other ingredients except sherry and corn starch.
- 4 simmer 15 minutes.
- 5 stir together corn starch and sherry.
- 6 add corn starch and sherry mix to other ingredients.
- 7 simmer until thick.
