Chinese Chicken

Ingredients

- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 -2 1/2 lbs broiling chicken, cut up
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon msg
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sherry wine
- 2 green peppers, diced
- 2 onions, sliced
- 1 (9 ounce) can crushed pineapple
- bamboo shoot, drained
- 1 (4 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
- 1 (8 ounce) can bean sprouts
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Recipe
- 1 heat oil in a large skillet. dip chicken parts in mixture of cornstarch, salt, msg, pepper and sugar. brown all sides.
- 2 add soy sauce and wine; cover and cook for 10 minutes. remove chicken and set aside.
- 3 mix together all remaining ingredients in the skillet and cook over high heat for 1 minute. place chicken on top, cover and lower heat and cook for 10 minutes longer.
