Batter Franks

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cornmeal
  • 3 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 lb frankfurter

Recipe

  • 1 mix together in order given using only 1 cup of flour.
  • 2 roll franks in 1/2 cup flour then dip in batter.
  • 3 fry in deep fat until brown.
  • 4 drain on absorbent paper.
  • 5 serve with mustard.
