Chocolate Bran Muffins (dairy- And Soy-free)

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup wheat bran
- 1/4 cup ground almonds
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 3/4 cup carob chips (or dairy-free chocolate chips)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees f and grease muffin tin.
- 2 combine all ingredients, adding the chips after everything else is well mixed.
- 3 distribute in muffin tin.
- 4 cook for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the middle of muffin comes out clean.
- 5 allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving. they freeze or refrigerate well, too.
