Chocolate Bran Muffins (dairy- And Soy-free)

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup wheat bran
  • 1/4 cup ground almonds
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 3/4 cup carob chips (or dairy-free chocolate chips)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees f and grease muffin tin.
  • 2 combine all ingredients, adding the chips after everything else is well mixed.
  • 3 distribute in muffin tin.
  • 4 cook for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the middle of muffin comes out clean.
  • 5 allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving. they freeze or refrigerate well, too.
