Chow Mein

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained
  • 2 (6 ounce) cans mushrooms, drained (i use fresh if i have them)
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 lbs lamb, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 season lamb pieces with salt and pepper. brown lamb over medium high heat. once browned, add enough water to cover the lamb. bring to boil.
  • 2 add onion, celery, green pepper, mushroons and water chestnuts. cook until the veggies are tender.
  • 3 at this point you may need to add more water depending on the amount of sauce you desire.
  • 4 add chicken bullion and soy sauce ( to taste).
  • 5 mix the cornstarch with a bit of water and add to pan. sauce will thicken. (adjust amount of cornstach based on how thick you want the sauce).
  • 6 adjust seasoning, serve over rice and/or chinese noodles.
