Chow Mein

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained
- 2 (6 ounce) cans mushrooms, drained (i use fresh if i have them)
- 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 1/2 lbs lamb, cut into bite size pieces
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 season lamb pieces with salt and pepper. brown lamb over medium high heat. once browned, add enough water to cover the lamb. bring to boil.
- 2 add onion, celery, green pepper, mushroons and water chestnuts. cook until the veggies are tender.
- 3 at this point you may need to add more water depending on the amount of sauce you desire.
- 4 add chicken bullion and soy sauce ( to taste).
- 5 mix the cornstarch with a bit of water and add to pan. sauce will thicken. (adjust amount of cornstach based on how thick you want the sauce).
- 6 adjust seasoning, serve over rice and/or chinese noodles.
