Banana Biscuit Scones

Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup shortening (i use palm shortening) or 2/3 cup butter (i use palm shortening)
- 2 cups pureed bananas
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 425°f.
- 2 add flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and shortening to a food processor and pulse until mixture looks like coarse meal.
- 3 pour into mixing bowl.
- 4 blend bananas, milk and yogurt in blender until smooth then slowly add to dry mixture while stirring until mixture binds together.
- 5 dump onto lightly floured counter and knead gently until mixture holds together well. i like to fold into thirds 2-3 times to create layers.
- 6 roll to 1/2 inch thick and cut into small rounds (1.5"), place on baking sheet and bake for 15-18 min or until golden brown.
- 7 serve with toppings and enjoy while still warm.
