Black Pepper Martini

Ingredients

- 2 1/2 ounces hendricks gin
- 1/2 ounce dry vermouth
- ice
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon whole black peppercorn
- 1 tablespoon cracked black peppercorns
Recipe
- 1 for black peppercorn syrup:.
- 2 combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar has dissolved.
- 3 bring to a boil and then reduce heat to bring mixture to a simmer; cook for 20 minutes. remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
- 4 strain the cooled syrup and refrigerate it in a container with a tightfitting lid.
