Bbq Chicken Kabobs

Total Time: 22 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 16 ounces barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup bourbon whiskey
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 4 -5 lbs chicken (boneless skinless breasts, cut into 1㢠x1㢠pieces)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup sweet paprika
  • 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 8 -10 wooden skewers (soaked in water for an hour)

Recipe

  • 1 in a bowl combine bbq sauce, vinegar and whiskey. whisk to combine. set aside and allow flavors to cme together.
  • 2 add bacon to the bowl of a food processor and blend until bacon becomes a paste.
  • 3 add salt, pepper, paprikas, and sugar. pulse until well combined.
  • 4 pat chicken with a paper towel to dry.
  • 5 add bacon paste mixture to chicken; mix with hands until chicken is completely coated.
  • 6 place chicken on skewers.
  • 7 place on preheated grill.
  • 8 cook on each side for 2-3 minutes.
  • 9 brush cooked surface with barbecue sauce and cook each side (coated in sauce) for 1 additional minute.
  • 10 remove kabobs from grill.
  • 11 pour remaining barbeque sauce into a small saucepan and bring to a boil. pour into a serving container and serve barbecue sauce along side kabobs.
