chocolate fondue

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons amaretto

Recipe

  • 1 in the top of a double boiler (or in a saucepan stacked on a smaller one) over hot water, heat cream until warm.
  • 2 add chocolate, stirring until melted and smooth.
  • 3 remove from heat.
  • 4 stir in liquer and transfer immediately to fondue pot over candle flame.
  • 5 serve with strawberries; kiwi slices; banana or apple slices.
  • 6 for butterscotch fondue, substitute 2tbsp half-and-half heavy cream and 1 tbsp kahlua for amaretto and add 8 oz.
  • 7 butterscotch chips.
