Ingredients

- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 tablespoons amaretto
Recipe
- 1 in the top of a double boiler (or in a saucepan stacked on a smaller one) over hot water, heat cream until warm.
- 2 add chocolate, stirring until melted and smooth.
- 3 remove from heat.
- 4 stir in liquer and transfer immediately to fondue pot over candle flame.
- 5 serve with strawberries; kiwi slices; banana or apple slices.
- 6 for butterscotch fondue, substitute 2tbsp half-and-half heavy cream and 1 tbsp kahlua for amaretto and add 8 oz.
- 7 butterscotch chips.
