Ingredients

- 12 ounces fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup port wine
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons slivered crystallized ginger
Recipe
- 1 wash cranberries and place in a pot with the sugar, port and cinnamon.
- 2 bring to a boil over high heat.
- 3 reduce heat and boil gently, uncovered, until berries begin to pop (about 5 minutes).
- 4 stir in the slivered ginger.
- 5 remove from heat and chill overnight.
- 6 keeps in the refrigerator for about one week (if there is any leftover).
