Basic Masala Recipe For Indian Vegetables

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • servings: 2
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste, optional
  • 1 pinch chili powder
  • 1 pinch turmeric, powders
  • 1 pinch asafetida powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin, crushed roughly or powdered
  • 1 teaspoon coriander, crushed roughly or powdered
  • 1 teaspoon urad dal
  • tamarind pulp or lime juice
  • curry leaf

Recipe

  • 1 peel, chop and boil in the minimum water with salt any vegetables and use singly or in combination.
  • 2 fry the onion till transparent.
  • 3 add the ginger-garlic paste and fry.
  • 4 put in the masalas and curry leaves and fry till the seeds splutter.
  • 5 add in the cooked vegetables.
  • 6 blend.
  • 7 add tamarind/lime juice.
  • 8 garnish with fresh grated coconut.
  • 9 serve.
