Continental Lemon Sauce

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise (best foods or hellman's)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

Recipe

  • 1 mix all ingredients until smooth in small saucepan.
  • 2 stir constantly over medium-low heat until thickened.
  • 3 do not boil!
  • 4 serve over vegetables, seafood, or poached eggs.
  • 5 this quick-sauce, tastes similar to hollandaise, but is much easier to make.
