Baked Cabbage

Total Time: 28 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 8 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 medium sized heads of cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup shredded swiss cheese
  • 3/4 cup shredded american cheese
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350.
  • 2 core cabbage and cut into 2x2 pieces. steam for 8-9 minutes.
  • 3 remove cabbage from steamer (careful-very hot) and place in mixing bowl with all other ingredients except cheeses. mix thoroughly.
  • 4 place cabbage mixture in 9x9 casserole dish and pack firmly so it is even with the top of pan.
  • 5 sprinkle cheeses evenly over top of cabbage.
  • 6 bake for 8-10 minutes or until cheeses start to melt and turn golden brown.
  • 7 remove from oven and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
  • 8 enjoy!
