Chocolate Fruit Truffles

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • servings: 25
  • 250 g fruitcake
  • 100 g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 tablespoon cream
  • 1 tablespoon rum or 1 tablespoon brandy
  • cocoa or nuts or coconut, to coat

Recipe

  • 1 crumble fruitcake into a bowl.
  • 2 melt chocolate, butter and cream in a double boiler.
  • 3 pour chocolate mixture over crumbled fruitcake, add rum or brandy and mix well.
  • 4 refrigerate until firm.
  • 5 roll heaped teaspoons of mixture into balls, roll in cocoa, nuts or coconut.
  • 6 place truffles into confectionery cases.
