Barb's Sauteed Swiss Chard

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 1 lb swiss chard
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 -3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • salt & pepper

Recipe

  • 1 wash swiss chard, cut the stems into 1 1/2 to 2 inch pieces.
  • 2 chop the green part into 2 to 3 inch pieces.
  • 3 heat olive oil in skillet add garlic and the stems of the chard; saute until stems start to get tender.
  • 4 add the green leaves saute with cover on skillet,stir, saute for about 3 minutes(water clinging to leaves is enough moisture) until wilted, do not over cook.
  • 5 serve, good served with a little vinegar.
