Bran Muffins

Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 6 cups 100% all-bran cereal
- 3 cups white sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 4 eggs
- 1 quart buttermilk
- 5 cups flour
- 5 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 cream together 1st two ingredients.
- 2 cream together sugar, shortening, and eggs.
- 3 add and blend in buttermilk to sugar mixture.
- 4 add bran cereal mixture.
- 5 add dry ingredients.
- 6 fill muffin cups 2/3 full and bake at 400 for 20 minutes. refrigerate remaining batter in covered container. will keep 8-10 weeks.
