Bran Cereal Pie Crust

Total Time: 22 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all-bran cereal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees f.
  • 2 combine the bran and flour together in a small mixing bowl.
  • 3 add the margarine and cut in, until the mixture resenbles coarse oatmeal.
  • 4 add the milk and stir until all ingredients are moistened.
  • 5 do not over stir!
  • 6 press the crumbly mixture evenly around the sides and bottom of a 9-inch pie pan.
  • 7 prick the bottom and sides with a fork.
  • 8 bake for 12 minutes or until very lightly browned.
  • 9 bear in mind that this crust will be cooked again when you have filled it, although it does not need to be.
  • 10 cool your crust before filling.
