Bobbye's German Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup crisco
• 3 egg yolks
• 7 egg whites, stiffly beaten
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 pinch salt
• 1 bar german sweet chocolate
• 1/2 cup oleo
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

• 1 melt german sweet chocolate bar in oleo. add in vanilla. mix in remaining ingredients. fold in egg whites. bake in 3 8" round pans for 30 minutes at 375.
• 2 hint: beat egg whites first. use same beaters without washing.
