Boneless Lamb Roast With Five-spice Rub

Total Time: 2 hrs Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon five-spice powder
  • 1 tablespoon olives or 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 lbs boneless lamb loin roast

Recipe

  • 1 in a small bowl, stir together garlic, ginger, five-spice powder and oil. sprinkle salt over lamb. rub lamb evenly with spice rub; refrigerate at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
  • 2 preheat oven to 450°f place lamb on a rack in roasting pan; bake 10 minutes. reduce oven temperature to 250°f bake an additional 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 145 f to 150°f.
  • 3 remove lamb from oven, cover loosely with foil. let stand 15 minutes.
