Boeuf à La Bière ( Beef Stew)

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 lbs boneless beef cubes
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 carrots, cut to pieces
  • 5 celery, cut to pieces
  • 1/2 cup barley

Recipe

  • 1 heat oil and cook onion with garlic for 2 minutes. add the beef and sprinkle with flour and paprika. add salt and pepper and brown beef on each sides.
  • 2 add , broth and herbs. bring to a boil. cover and let simmer for 1 1/2 hour.
  • 3 add vegetables and barley. continue cooking for 45 minutes.
