Boeuf à La Bière ( Beef Stew)

Ingredients

- 2 lbs boneless beef cubes
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 1
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- salt and pepper
- 3 carrots, cut to pieces
- 5 celery, cut to pieces
- 1/2 cup barley
Recipe
- 1 heat oil and cook onion with garlic for 2 minutes. add the beef and sprinkle with flour and paprika. add salt and pepper and brown beef on each sides.
- 2 add , broth and herbs. bring to a boil. cover and let simmer for 1 1/2 hour.
- 3 add vegetables and barley. continue cooking for 45 minutes.
