Cantrell Sauce (steak Marinade And Grilling Sauce)

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 4 tablespoons butter or 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves fresh mashed garlic
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lemon

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter or oil, or a combination of each, over medium-low heat in a skillet.
  • 2 add garlic and let simmer a few minutes.
  • 3 turn off the heat.
  • 4 add soy sauce and worcestershire sauce.
  • 5 add the juice of one lemon.
  • 6 marinate the meat in the sauce while the grill is heating, or longer for a stronger flavor.
  • 7 grill meat, turning and basting with sauce about every four minutes until done.
  • 8 return marinade to saucepan and bring to a boil for 60 seconds to make safe for dipping as sauce. if this makes the sauce too dry, add water, broth or wine.
  • 9 reserve boiled sauce for dipping.

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Recipe

  • 1 melt 2 tablespoons margarine and 3 tablespoons cocoa.
  • 2 remove from heat and mix in 1 cup sifted powdered sugar, 1 teaspoons vanilla extract and 1-1/2 tablespoons hot water.
  • 3 spread over cooked brownies and ect.

Berry Cornmeal Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 lemon, zest of
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees f.
  • 2 butter muffin pan. set aside.
  • 3 in a large bowl combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt, and lemon zest. in a separate bowl combine 2 tablespoons of this mixture with the berries.
  • 4 in a large measuring cup or bowl whisk together the egg, milk, oil, and vanilla extract.
  • 5 with a rubber spatula fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir only until the ingredients are combined.
  • 6 gently stir in the berries.
  • 7 evenly fill the muffin cups with batter.
  • 8 sprinkle with the sugar.
  • 9 place in the oven and bake until lightly browned and a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean, about 15 - 20 minutes.
  • 10 transfer to a wire rack and let cool for about 5 minutes before removing from pan.

  • 1/2 lb fresh crabmeat
  • 4 dried mushrooms
  • 1/3 cup water chestnut
  • 1/4 cup sliced bamboo shoot
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 2 scallions, minced
  • 1/2 cup bean sprouts

Recipe

  • 1 pick over crabmeat to remove any cartilage or shell. soak mushrooms in a bowl of warm water until soft, about 15 minutes. remove stems and discard. cut caps into thin strips. coarsely chop water chestnuts and bamboo shoots. beat eggs with salt and pepper. in a wok, heat oil over high heat until just smoking. add minced ginger and scallions and stir fry until fragrant, about 10 seconds. add crabmeat, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and bamboo shoots and stir fry 3 minutes, tossing to blend well. add bean sprouts and toss to mix. reduce heat to medium. pour beaten eggs over crabmeat mixture and cook over moderate heat until omelet is set, about 3 minutes. serve at once.

  • 4 corn tortillas, cut or torn in small pieces
  • chopped onion

Recipe

  • 1 heat oil in saucepan.
  • 2 cut tortillas in small pieces and fry until crispy.
  • 3 make sure you stir them continually so they get toasted evenly.
  • 4 put in the onion if you like onion, and let it cook a little.

  • 4 large vidalia onions
  • 1 celery rib, diced
  • 1/2 cup light mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3/4 teaspoon creole seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages lump crabmeat, drained
  • cracker (optional)
  • fresh fruit (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 peel onions; cut off bottoms just enough to form a flat surface. carve out onions, leaving 1/2 inch shell. set shells aside, chop insides of onion and set aside.
  • 2 grill onion shells over med-high heat 5 min on each side or until tender.
  • 3 stir together 2 tbsp reserved diced onion, celery and next 4 ingredients. gently stir in crabmeat. spoon mixture into onion shells. serve immediately with crackers and fresh fruit if desired.
