Brandied Cherry Sauce

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 cup dark sweet cherry, pitted (fresh or frozen, thawed)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Recipe

  • 1 mix sugar, cornstarch and allspice in a medium skillet.
  • 2 stir in cherries, water, , and lemon juice.
  • 3 stir over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens; boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • 4 serve warm.
