Bread Pudding

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 cups soft bread cubes (use bread)
  • 1 quart milk, scalded
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
  • 9 tablespoons sugar, granulated, divided into 2 parts
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon real vanilla
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Recipe

  • 1 mix bread and milk together.
  • 2 add the 2 eggs and the 2 egg yolks with 5 tbsp of sugar and salt.
  • 3 add to the milk mixture will be the vanilla and butter.
  • 4 mix well and pour into a slightly greased 1 1/2 quart casserole.
