Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 cups stale bread, cubes ( bread is best)
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
  • cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon rind, grated
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 -5 drops lemon extract

Recipe

  • 1 whisk together eggs, whipping cream, milk, salt, sugar, and vanilla.
  • 2 stir in bread cubes and raisins.
  • 3 turn into greased 9x9 inch pan.

  • 5 bake 350 degrees f.

  • 21 add remaining ingredients.
  • 22 serve warm.
