Bran Muffins (pre-1940's)

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 cups natural bran
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted fat (butter)
  • 1 1/2 cups milk (sweet)

Recipe

  • 1 sift together the flour, salt and baking powder.
  • 2 blend with bran and add dry ingredients.
  • 3 add the milk beaten egg suagr and butter (fat).
  • 4 have a thick but a moist batter.
  • 5 grease a muffin pan.
  • 6 bake 30 minutes.
