Braised Calf's Liver

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs calf liver
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 slice liver in small, thin pieces. brown the onions in shortening. stir in the paprika and tomato paste. add the liver. cover and simmer over a low flame for 15 minutes, or until the liver is done. add salt just before serving.
