Braised Cabbage (guisadong Repolyo)

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 8 -10 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 4 ounces ground lamb
  • 4 chicken livers, sliced
  • 8 ounces chicken breasts
  • 5 cups cabbage, sliced
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Recipe

  • 1 heat the oil in a wok or casserole. saute the onions until transparent, 2-3 minutes. add garlic and saute until fragrant, about 1 minute. add the ground lamb and saute until lightly browned. add chicken livers and chicken breast and saute until almost cooked.
  • 2 stir in the sliced cabbage. pour in water and add the bouillon cubes. simmer over medium heat until cabbage is just tender, about 3 minutes. season with soy sauce.
