Broccoli Cheese Soup

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 6 cups water
  • 6 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 packages chopped frozen broccoli
  • 6 cups milk
  • 1 lb velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 8 ounces egg noodles

Recipe

  • 1 heat oil in large pan.
  • 2 add onion, saute' 3 minutes.
  • 3 add water and bouillon cubes.
  • 4 heat to boiling, stirring occasionally until cubes are dissolved.
  • 5 add noodles and salt.
  • 6 cook, uncoverd 3 minutes.
  • 7 stir in frozen broccoli and garlic salt.
  • 8 cook 4 minutes.
  • 9 turn down heat.
  • 10 add milk and cheese.
  • 11 continue cooking until cheese melts.
  • 12 stirring frequently.
  • 13 do not allow to boil once milk and cheese has been added.
  • 14 can be left on stove on low heat for up to an hour or left on low in a crockpot.
  • 15 is still wonderful reheated.
