Burritos Made Easy

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 15 ounces chili with beans
  • 1 1/4 cups chunky salsa
  • 4 ounces chopped green chilies
  • 8 flour tortillas, warmed (8-inch size)
  • 8 slices processed american cheese
  • 8 teaspoons taco sauce (this is a guesstimate, use the amount you want)
  • 1/4 head shredded lettuce (this is a guesstimate, use the amount you want)

Recipe

  • 1 in a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain off fat.
  • 2 to meat mixture, add canned chili, salsa, and green chilies. bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
  • 3 spoon about 1/2 cupful of beef mixture off-center on each tortilla. top each with a slice of cheese; roll up.
  • 4 serve with taco sauce and lettuce if desired.
