Ingredients

- 6 medium onions, peeled and cut in 1/2 inch slices
- 1/2 cup dry wine
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons corn syrup
- 2 whole cloves
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
Recipe
- 1 place onions, wine, salt, corn syrup and cloves in a saucepan.
- 2 simmer at a low heat until tender (about 20 minutes).
- 3 blend flour and butter and then mix into onions to thicken.
- 4 remove cloves before serving.
