Brandied Beef Stew

Total Time: 1 hr 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 lbs beef stew meat
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, cut into wedges
  • 3 carrots, cut into chunks
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can beef broth
  • 1/2 cup
  • 2 cups small whole mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Recipe

  • 1 sprinkle meat with flour, garlic salt,oregano, basil& pepper and toss to coat evenly.
  • 2 heat oil in dutch oven or large pot.
  • 3 add meat and cook over medium heat until browned on all sides, stirring occasionally.
  • 4 add onion, carrots, beef broth and .
  • 5 cover and simmer over low heat for 1 1/2 hours or until meat is very tender.
  • 6 add mushrooms and parsley, and simmer 10 minutes longer.
  • 7 add crusty bread& a nice green salad and enjoy!
