Braised Peas With Prosciutto

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/3 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 2 cups frozen peas
- 2 ounces prosciutto, diced
- salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste.
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in a saucepan, add onions and cook over medium heat until soft and golden brown.
- 2 add broth, bring to a boil, add peas, return to a boil, cover, reduce heat to low and simmer until tender (the amount of time will depend on the size of the peas, so check the package directions).
- 3 add prosciutto, cook uncovered until most of the liquid is absorbed and season with salt and pepper.
